Rice Stock in Jakarta Is Sufficient

Jakarta Provincial Government ensures the rice stock for the capital is in adequate amount. The rice supply from West Jakarta is 63 percent, Central Java 33 percent, and East Java 3-4 percent.
The stock is able to accommodate this month up to next year
Adi Ariantara, Jakarta Head Bureau of Economy, said his side adding the stock during harvesting period in February-August. It means the citizens should not worry with the stock in the next six months.

As the consumer are, he added, Jakarta Provincial Government keeps managing the rice flow in warehouse. The capital government can not keep the stock above the capacity in order to avoid storage fee.
"We must manage it in detail. Too much stock means we must pay storage fee, low stock means we lack of rice," he disclosed.
